Scottsdale Police Department is reporting that eastbound Thompson Peak Parkway at Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd is closed due to a serious injury collision between a pickup truck and a 12 year old on a bike in a crosswalk.
Police say the 12 year old was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Cactus Road Closed Due To Rollover
Scottsdale Police Department is reporting a single vehicle rollover at 100th Street and Cactus Road. Cactus closed from 96th Street to 104th Street. Police say there were no injuries.

Interstate 40 Reopened Between Kingman and Seligman
ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation) has reopened Interstate 40 at milepost 71 to milepost 121. All lanes of travel are now open.
I-40 Closed East of Kingman
Eastbound and westbound Interstate 40 [map] is closed east of Kingman from milepost 71 (US 93 interchange) to milepost 121 (Seligman), according to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). The area received heavy snow overnight. Use Route 66 as detour.

2012 Parada Del Sol Parade Street Closures
The 59th Annual Parada del Sol parade is this Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The following city streets will be closed from approximately 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. to accommodate parade participants:

- Scottsdale Road will be closed to all traffic from McDowell Rd to Indian School Rd; as well as all cross roads between McDowell and Indian School roads, including major cross roads like McDowell Road, Thomas Road, Oak Street and Osborn Road.
- Indian School Road will be closed to all traffic from Scottsdale Road to 75th Street.
- First Avenue from Brown Avenue to Scottsdale Rd will be closed for the Trails End Celebration until around 5 p.m.

Scottsdale Road and Carefree Highway Restrictions Info
Lane restrictions are in place at Carefree Highway and Scottsdale Road in both directions east of Scottsdale Road and south of Carefree Highway from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Saturday until Feb. 13, 2012 for new cable service installation across Carefree Highway and Scottsdale Road.
- Plan #1 - Eastbound median lane closed, left turns restricted east of Scottsdale Road during the night only.
- Plan #2 - Eastbound curb lane closed east of Scottsdale Road
- Plan #3 - Westbound traffic shifted to the eastbound side of the road, eastbound left turns will be restricted east of Scottsdale Road during nighttime work hours.
